Sometimes inspections at the repair vendor may not be possible therefore TEServices is providing inspections of IGT components at the customer site before and during disassembly / assembly of the turbine.
Recently TEServices performed an onsite inspection of gas turbine components, which were repaired in Europe, prior to installation. During this inspection TEServices identified blockage of turbine blade cooling cavities due to blasting media which was then successfully removed prior to installation. A visual crack was also observed on a turbine blade which was successfully removed by blending and verified before and after removal using a level III sensitivity penetration inspection.
With TEServices support, these issues were identified and quickly resolved without delaying the outage, ensuring a problem free operation of the turbine and its components.
